Mixed states are represented by the following types:
📍correct-intermittent type of flow - manic phases are replaced by depressive ones at intervals of mental health;
📍incorrectly intermittent course - manic, depressive episodes alternate with periods of mental health without a strict sequence (the manic phase can be replaced by a manic, etc.);
📍double form - direct alternation of two radically opposite poles, accompanied by a period of mental health;
📍circular form of the course - the absence of a period of mental health with alternating manic and depressive symptoms.
It should be noted that the most common is the periodic type of flow.
Risk factors
The increased risk of developing the disease is due to personal characteristics, which include the statothymic, melancholic type of personality, focused on constancy, responsibility, orderliness, pedantry, increased conscientiousness and psychiatric features.
One of the risk factors is also emotional instability, instability, which is reflected in excessive affective reactions to external irritants, spontaneous mood swings, frequent changes in tone.
