Domestic violence is the repeated and targeted use of various forms of physical, emotional, sexual and sexual abuse by one family member against another.


The result of domestic violence is physical injury and bodily harm, emotional trauma, and psychological developmental disabilities.


The main especially domestic violence in comparison with other types of violence is that it is realized between people who are in close or family relationships, in marriage or cohabitation. Domestic violence can be implemented against children, parents and the elderly.


The vast majority of victims of domestic violence are women and children, but it is women who experience the most severe forms of violence. Although many studies show that the gender aspect of violence is close to symmetry. But due to stigmatization, men who experience domestic violence do not contact law enforcement agencies or fear that their case will be left without due attention.


There are the following types of violence that can be implemented:


📍physical - this is a direct or indirect impact on a person with the aim of causing him physical harm (maiming, severe bodily harm, beatings, kicks, slaps, throwing objects);


📍sexual is the coercion of a person with the help of physical force, threats or deceptions to any form of sexual interaction;


📍psychological is the infliction of psychological harm to a person in the form of threats, blackmail, intimidation and control;


📍economic - this is violence, in which material pressure on a person is realized in the form of deprivation of financial support, constant control of expenses, prohibition to work or study;


📍medical is a manifestation of negligence and untimeliness in dispensing medicines, intentionally changing the dosage of the drug, as well as deliberate refusal to the patient to receive the medicine;


📍neglect is a manifestation of an irresponsible attitude towards a person's life, an inability to provide for his life (food, food, clothing, shelter, medical care).


All types of violence are interconnected, if the aggressor is already committing an act of physical violence, then he automatically commits psychological violence as well. Economic violence also

associated with the use of psychological violence (manipulation, threats). Sexual violence is also associated with physical violence, as it can result in injuries and mutilations.
