Features of raising children in Norway. There is no bad weather.

Children from kindergarten are taught to be friends with the weather and determine for themselves how to dress depending on the time of year. That is, it is not the mother who gives out socks-fleece-jacket-hat, but the child himself knows when to put on rubber boots, and when to wear a warm down jacket.

At the same time, children should spend all school breaks in the yard in any weather: rain, downpour, wind, snow - it doesn’t matter. It is believed that by running, jumping and "ventilating the brain", the child rests, tunes in to the next lesson, tempers and stocks up on health.

At school, children are taught environmental lessons. It is on them that children are explained how to dress properly in accordance with the weather forecast. For example, if it's minus ten outside, you need to be dressed like a cabbage - layered. The first layer is close to the body: long pants and a pullover in fine wool or fleece. The second layer is a dress or jeans with a sweatshirt. The third layer is a warm but light water-repellent jumpsuit. Plus rubberized insulated boots, waterproof mittens, a woolen hat-helmet and, if it's really cold, a hood.
