Children in Chile are adored. They practically do not know the prohibitions here. In public places, no one scolds children for bad behavior, does not pull, does not scream, does not spank, does not give cuffs. Children can act up, throw tantrums at the supermarket, and roll on the floor begging for a toy. No one will pay attention, no one will shake their head reproachfully and no one will reprimand their mother.
The same thing happens in the church where the Chilean Catholics go with their families on Sundays. During the church service, small children calmly walk around the hall, looking at what is happening with curiosity. No one will make terrible eyes, hiss and remind of the punishment of the Lord for disobedience. Two reactions are possible on the part of others: they will pretend that nothing is happening, or they will look at the child with tenderness.
Childbirth in Chile is also a family process. (By the way, children are born in Chile mainly by caesarean section). Dads are present at childbirth, and there is a special window in the delivery room so that numerous relatives can observe the process of the birth of a new family member.
Through the window you can see how the doctors work and the first cry of the baby, the relatives also hear. All relatives rejoice and are touched when a happy dad brings the child to the window. In a word, for families, children are their own blood, the continuation of the family. And for fathers - the main achievement in life, which they are proud of.
Soon the relatives disperse in order to come to the ward in a day and hold the baby in their arms. No quarantine, no restrictions. The staff is smiling, friendly and inconspicuous. All actions and movements of nurses are perfected and coordinated. Everywhere perfect cleanliness and order. There are security cameras and security guards on every floor, and the baby, who is in the room with his mother, has a tiny GPS beacon attached to his leg, indicating his location.
